A free advice line for NHS employers is now open, to help support planning for next week’s industrial action.
The free resource is brought to you jointly with our strategic partner Capsticks, and is aimed at supporting you with any questions you may have that are not covered in our industrial action resources for employers.
The advice line number is 020 8780 4756 and will be open from 9am to 5pm Monday to Friday, until Friday 17 October.
The purpose of the advice line is to provide quick and authoritative guidance on short and non-contentious queries relating to industrial action. If an issue arises that might give rise to substantive legal advice, you should take formal legal advice to support your decision making.
Using the advice line
To help us ensure that the advice line is available to employers as effectively and efficiently as possible:
- Each call to the advice line will be limited to around 30 minutes and users are asked to only use the line once for each issue.
- Where possible, only one person from each organisation should make the call to the advice line and be the point of contact
- Advice given will be kept to issues around the planned strikes.
- Please do consult our published resources for employers before calling the advice line.
For commercial and practical reasons employers should be prepared to identify themselves, however this is on a strictly confidential basis.
Resources for employers
Our suite of products have been produced by NHS Employers and Capsticks to help specifically with this period of industrial action. Resources include a board level presentation pack, industrial action planning checklist, template letters for staff, risk matrix, industrial action myth buster and summary guidance of your staffing options during industrial action.
