Government asks Review Body to consider doctors' contract reform

Following the BMA unilaterally withdrawing from contract negotiations for consultants and junior doctors, the Government has asked the Doctors’ and Dentists’ Review Body (DDRB) to make observations on consultant contract reform, and recommendations on a new contract for doctors and dentists in training.

NHS Employers has been asked to submit evidence to the Review Body by 31 December 2014, with DDRB submitting their report to Government in July 2015. Read more about the DDRB remit and background.
