On strike

08 / 10 / 2014 1.45pm

The Society of Radiographers (SoR) has announced that its members, who are diagnostic imaging and radiotherapy professionals, will take part in a UK-wide strike for four hours on Monday, 20 October. In addition to the strike day, SoR members will then work-to-rule for the remainder of that week.

The SoR has stated that emergency care will continue to be provided but pre-booked appointments and procedures may be affected.

This period of industrial action follows their recent ballot, where 53.7 per cent of their members voted in favour of strike action, with a turnout of 41 per cent.
