The General Medical Council (GMC) has published its fourth annual state of medical education and practice report, which gives reassurance that concerns about doctors are being investigated.

The report covers data on medical education and doctors working in the UK, sanctions and warnings about doctors, and issues raised to the GMC.

Gill Bellord, director of employment relations and reward at the NHS Employers organisation, said:

This is a useful report that employers welcome each year, using it to improve how they plan their medical workforce and deliver safe, high quality care.”
