Industrial action support for employers

Placards on the floor

24 / 11 / 2014 Midnight

Industrial action is taking place in the NHS today with members of some trade unions taking strike action this morning. This will be followed by a period of working to rule.

Full details of the which unions are taking part in this period of industrial action are available on our main industrial action webpage

To help employers maintain services during this period of industrial action, we have published a number of resources which can be found on our industrial action resources for employers webpage.  We are also running two helplines for employers.

Free legal advice line – 020 8780 4756

This line is now open from 9am to 5pm. The purpose of the advice line is to provide quick and authoritative guidance on short and non-contentious queries relating to industrial action. Calls should be kept to 30mins and we ask that, where possible, only one person from each organisation should make the call and be the point of contact for the helpline and you should consult our published resources before calling.

On-the-day support

We will seek to keep clear lines of communication open with the leaders of the trade unions taking action on Monday 24 November, if you encounter problems that are affecting service delivery or are creating media interest and are unable to resolve them at a local level, then we will endeavour to help out as much as we can. Our regional heads of engagement can be contacted using the details below and you can also contact us on 0300 330 0963.
