NHS Pension Scheme final pay control - first invoices

06 / 11 / 2014 4pm

Earlier this year the Government introduced a new employer charge for member pay rises, which are over a specified amount, occurring in the three years prior to retirement. The new charge will apply in cases where a member has a pay increase which is over a specific amount, the Consumer Price Index (CPI) + 4.5 per cent.

The first invoices for this charge will be distributed in November 2014 by NHS Pensions.

As an employer you may wish to consider any
potential financial impact this could have for your organisation.

You will find more information, including details on when a charge may apply, on our web page.
