Public Health England has today reported that more than 456,000 frontline staff (48.2 per cent) have been vaccinated between 1 September and 30 October 2014. This is a substantial improvement in the figures from October (38.6 per cent) to November, where approximately 116,000 more staff have been vaccinated.

Here are some of the highlights from the figures:
  •  97 trusts have vaccinated over half of their staff already
  • 70 trusts have already exceeded the 2013/14 final average of 54.8 per cent
  • 13 trusts have vaccinated 75 per cent or more of their staff
  • 110 trusts have improved compared to the same period of 2013/14
The figures complement the statistics released from Public Health Wales last week, which also showed that Wales had sustained the momentum in their flu vaccination campaign.
