Statistics released from Public Health Wales show that Wales organisations have continued to sustain the momentum with 40.1 per cent of frontline healthcare workers having had their seasonal influenza vaccination.

Overall figures for the 2013/14 in Wales show that 40.6 per cent of healthcare workers were vaccinated - a figure that is close to being matched mid-season.

The top three performing trusts so far all exceed the 40.1 per cent national average:
  • Velindre NHS Trust, uptake of 49.6 per cent (Velindre NHS Trust uptake is up until the end of October 2014).
  • Cwm Taf UHB, uptake of 45.4 per cent
  • Betsi Cadwaladr UHB, uptake of 46.6 per cent

Cumulative uptake figures for frontline healthcare worker flu vaccination will be published monthly by Public Health Wales.
