NHS Employers is working to support trusts in partnering with their local Jobcentre Plus to improve recruitment efficiencies and deliver initiatives that widen participation.
South Tees Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust demonstrate one of the many strategies that can be used to engage with young people and provide them with valuable experiences that can ease the transition from education to the world of work.
This partnership is a good example of this work in practice. By working with Jobcentre Plus, the initiative has placed participants in more than 40 different wards and departments since January 2013.
