Statistics released from Public Health Wales show that Welsh NHS organisations have increased uptake of the flu vaccination this season, with 42.9 per cent of frontline healthcare workers having received it.

Overall figures for last year's flu season (2013/14) in Wales show that 40.6 per cent of healthcare workers were vaccinated. By the end of December in the current season (2014/15), organisations had significantly exceeded this by 2.9 per cent.

Currently, the top three performing organisations are:

  • Velindre NHS Trust - uptake of 63.1 per cent.
