The General Medical Council (GMC) is consulting on new draft standards it has produced for undergraduate and postgraduate medical education. The standards should put patient safety, quality of care, experience for patients and fairness at the heart of medical students' and doctors' training.
The GMC is asking a range of stakeholders for their views on the proposed standards which are grouped under four themes:
- learning environment and culture
- educational governance
- supporting learners and trainers
- developing and delivering curricula and assessment.
