New guidance and resources aim to help employers implement the new Care Certificate for health and social care support workers, which launches in March 2015.

They are intended to be used as a first step for employers, in readiness for the official launch, and to support employers as they prepare to implement the Care Certificate. The materials, including revised standards and practical guidance have been developed by Health Education England, Skills for Health and Skills for Care.

The Care Certificate, due to be introduced for all new health and social care support workers from April 2015, has been developed to create more consistency in standards of care among this group of workers.
