NHS Employers has published a board member briefing about the Better Training Better Care local pilots to show how innovative solutions in medical education can help to improve care, safety and make cost savings.
This accompanies Health Education England’s resource bank which sets out how these pilots could be adopted nationally and also suggests ways of developing local improvement initiatives.
Boards will want to consider which pilots should be adopted in their trust and will also want to engage with their own medical trainee workforce to develop local improvement approaches.
