The National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) is currently developing a set of evidence based guidelines, which set out safe staffing requirements for the NHS.
Topic specialists needed
To support the development of the mental health community settings and management and organisational approaches to safe staffing guidelines, NICE are currently looking to recruit a number of topic specialists to join the standing members of the Safe Staffing Advisory Committee (SSAC). They are seeking:
- someone who is actively involved in academic research in the healthcare staffng or workforce field linked to mental health community settings
- a registered nurse with managerial responsibility for mental health community team/s
- five specialists who have experience in working with multidisciplinary and lay colleagues, with an understanding of evidence based healthcare.

NICE require a short CV along with a short statement outlining how the individual meets the requirements. The closing date for the mental health community settings applications is 5pm on 12 May 2015.
