The Nursing Times Awards are an opportunity to showcase and celebrate the excellent work being done to shape and improve nurse-led care in the NHS.
From the hundreds of entries received every year there is proof that nurses continue to improve the treatment and care they provide for their patients, making it even more important to celebrate those nurses who put high quality patient care at the heart of everything they do.
Entries are now open for all 20 categories including the award for 'Improving Patient Experience' sponsored by NHS Employers. This award aims to recognise organisations that are taking the lead in:
providing a positive work environment for staff
engaging staff in decisions that affect them
providing all staff with personal development and support from line managers
encouraging and supporting all staff in raising concerns.
Evidence shows that having an engaged healthy workforce leads to increased productivity and an overall happier workforce and staff engagement is a key component in creating and sustaining a successful NHS.
To find out more and to submit your entries visit The Nursing Times Awards - The deadline for entries is 17 April 2015.
The awards event will take place on 12 November 2015 at Grosvenor House, London.
