A new briefing, produced by NHS Employers (in collaboration with other organisations) highlights the benefits a partnership with Jobcentre Plus (JCP) could bring to your trust and your community.
The document outlines some key areas employers need to think about:
- why this matters?
- how can JCP help?
- organisational support
- getting started
- evaluating the impact
- celebrating your achievements.
The briefing demonstrates how trusts can address key strategic workforce challenges by using JCP's expertise and support to recruit people from their local community into work experience and job vacancies. It also speaks to national policy priorities, such as workforce supply and widening participation.
The document is illustrated by examples from NHS organisations who have worked with JCP and realised the advantages of this partnership arrangement. It offers tips for those who may want to consider doing the same. The guidance was produced in collaboration with several NHS trusts, as well as the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP), Health Education England (HEE) and the National Skills Academy for Health (NSAH).
