NHS Employers recently launched a major piece of research investigating the links between diversity and inclusion and employee engagement.
Diverse Voices sets out how employers can best engage all employees in our modern and diverse workforce.
The report, led by IPA and astar-fanshawe, looks in detail at the links between employee engagement and diversity and inclusion through identifying the gaps in engagement between different groups in the workforce. Through using large scale survey data, case studies, literature reviews and interviews, it provides evidence-based recommendations to help organisations to better engage with their diverse workforce.
Steven Weeks, policy manager at NHS Employers said; "the project was an insightful piece of research which underlines the need to develop approaches to staff engagement which include all of the workforce and respond to different experiences. As well as highlighting issues it includes practical advice and a NHS case study on successful approaches at Oxleas NHS Trust”
