Total Reward Statements (TRS) have been developed by NHS Business Services Authority (NHSBSA) in partnership with the Electronic Staff Records (ESR) programme. TRS support staff retention and motivation by providing NHS staff with details on the overall value of their employment package. TRS roll out began in August 2014.
The ten week TRS to do list has begun for organisations in the 2015 tranche 1. The to do list provides an overview of activities for employers to prepare for TRS.
TRS will be available for employees to view in tranche 1 organisations from the end of August 2015. Tranche 2 statements will be available for employees to view from the end of October 2015.
You can find out which tranche your organisation is in, and access the to do list and a communications pack for employers, on the TRS information website.
Upload your local benefits information
The local benefits page is available for you to upload your local branding, local benefits and contact details. The TRS portal has an employer section which enables you (if your organisation uses ESR) to view your employee statements, upload your local benefits and change your contact details.
We encourage you to upload your local benefit information as soon as possible and keep it up to date. This will support your staff when TRS are available in your organisation and will be a useful tool to communicate with staff about the overall benefit of their employment with your organisation.
Please note regardless of which tranche your organisation is in, local benefits and local branding information must be uploaded to the TRS website by the end of July 2015.
If you have not already done so, please identify a TRS lead within your organisation. You do this by emailing email@example.com with your Employing Authority (EA) code and contact details.
If you need to know more about TRS we have a range of resources and actions for employers available on our Total Reward Statements web pages.
