Diversity and inclusion champions from the health sector were celebrated this week at the 2015 Employers Network for Equality and Inclusion (enei) awards.
The nationally recognised awards took place on the 14 July and were held at The Law Society, London. The awards celebrate the achievements of organisations that have taken a lead in challenging discrimination, and that are working inclusively to tap into their talented workforce.
NHS Employers’ head of diversity, Paul Deemer, presented two of the awards, including the overall winner for the public sector – awarded to Cafcass.
North East Lincolnshire Clinical Commissioning Group was named small employer of the year 2015, and NHS Arden and Greater East Midlands Commissioning Support Unit’s Joan Pons Laplana was named Equality and Inclusion Champion of the Year.
The South East Coast Ambulance Service was recognised for being one of only two organisations to achieve the gold standard for equality – enei’s benchmarking standard. The full details of all the award winners can be found at the enei awards brochure 2015
