The final 40 applicants on the foundation programme reservist list have now been allocated a place on the 2015 course.

The United Kingdom Foundation Programme Office (UKFPO) has confirmed that the third reservist list, and all remaining applicants, have secured a place - just in time for the programme start date in three weeks.

We understand that individual employers won’t be affected in terms of significant increases to their F1 cohort. Remaining applicants have been allocated across the UK, which should minimise disruption to employers who are running pre-employment checks for their new F1’s starting in August.

This is good news for employers as these late-allocated doctors should have all their paperwork ready to go, and even better news for all of the doctors waiting for places on the foundation programme.

This year the UKFPO successfully allocated 7,586 applicants onto the foundation programme and academic foundation programme, with a small amount of applicants (27) withdrawing from the process.

The full press release can be found on the UKFPO website.
