We are running a series of events throughout 2015/16 to provide the HR community with practical ways of managing the workforce supply challenge.
You will have the opportunity to:
- hear a national perspective
- learn from good practice in action
- share and broaden your knowledge
- discuss ideas with colleagues.
NHS workforce supply has been placed in the spotlight. Local and national skills shortages, and additional pressure from new safer staffing regimes, have given rise to supply gaps in parts of the workforce and this is a challenge that we know many organisations are facing.
It’s a tricky task to balance workforce supply and demand, requiring solutions at a local, regional and national level. Organisations are using solutions that address the here and now, whilst also looking to the longer term.
The workforce is the NHS’ greatest asset and biggest investment. Our series of six events will give you the space to think about how to attract, recruit, deploy and retain your staff to manage the supply challenge.
We know that managing temporary staffing is currently a big challenge connected to workforce supply. We will therefore be running a dedicated event to shine a spotlight on this particular topic areas as part of the series.
Bookings are now open for the following events:
Workforce supply: a spotlight on temporary staffing
This event will explore the potential for NHS trusts to reduce spend on agency workers through further improvements in flexible working, use of technology, working collaboratively and arrangements through procurement frameworks.
Workforce supply: the shape of your workforce
This event will focus on how to better understand the shape of your existing workforce and make the best use of the skills that exist within your organisation.
