Workshops to evaluate equality & diversity training

07 / 8 / 2015 3pm

Healthcare professionals involved in equality and diversity (E&D) training, are invited to take part in a research project being run by the University of Leicester and supported by NHS Employers and other stakeholders.

Part of the research involves a series of participatory workshops to gain the views, advice and input of NHS professionals on the development of a valid and reliable evaluation tool.

Why is evaluation important?
Despite the number of health organisations endorsing a variety of E&D training, it is unclear whether the impact of the training is known or even being measured and whether it has an effect on improving professional practice and patient outcomes

Invitation to participatory workshops
The workshops will provide a valuable opportunity to share good practice in the development and evaluation of E&D training. In addition, the proposed tool will act as a resource for identifying training models which deliver change, highlight improvements and are cost-effective.

If you are interested in supporting the research project, book a place on a regional workshop
