Throughout August, we asked trusts to send in their fantastic flu fighter reward initiative entries.
We’re proud to announce that the all hands on deck winning team is Oxleas NHS Foundation Trust. The trust will receive a special flu fighter badge, which sets them out as exemplars of good practice.
Oxleas provide local NHS services in south London and Kent, taking care of both body and mind, and has six directorates.
This team has regular meetings with lead nurses, heads of nurses from across the directorates, occupational health, pharmacists, human resources and communications teams to keep everybody up to date. After reviewing their 2014/15 campaign they are looking for flu champions for 2015/16.
They have senior support from the medical director, who ensures that the doctors employed are giving the correct messages to staff and patients alike. Their communications team is also very active, and keeps the intranet updated with information including myth busting.
If you've been inspired to enter your fantastic flu fighter story, then see our August reward for more details.
