Employers have until Wednesday 23 September to provide NHS Employers with your views on tax changes for pension contributions.

The government is consulting on proposed changes to existing tax relief arrangements for pension contributions. Members and employers currently receive tax relief on contributions they pay into pension arrangements.

The proposals consider whether making changes to the current tax arrangements, including removing this relief, will affect pension savings.

We will be responding to the consultation from an employers' perspective with a particular focus on the potential impact for employers of removing any existing tax savings from pension contributions. This is an important issue and we are keen to hear your thoughts to include within our response. If you have any comments please send these to no later than 23 September 2015.
