The NHS Employers equality and diversity team will now be known as the diversity and inclusion team.
We're changing our name to better reflect the external environment and the language used in the health and social care sector, and also the wider business environment.
Our new name reflects how diversity can be influenced by factors beyond the characteristics included within equality legislation, and promotes an individual's right within the workplace and in wider society to feel valued and included.
We will continue to offer advice on all aspects of equality, diversity, human rights and legislation, but offer a more holistic approach to an increasingly diverse workforce where inclusion stretches across all aspects of the workforce agenda.
