NHS Employers has partnered with the Health Service Journal (HSJ) to launch a new network for leading women and emerging women leaders in health and social care.
The HSJ Women Leaders network aims to:
- empower, encourage and celebrate the skills and talents of both existing and emerging women leaders
- identify, encourage and promote good practice in improving opportunities for women to secure board level positions on health and care bodies in public, private, voluntary and third sectors, as well as in nurturing and retaining women of talent in those sectors
- scrutinise and challenge bias against women on health and social care boards.
The network will launch on the evening of Wednesday 23 September at our diversity and inclusion in the NHS
conference, with a debate around the topic, should men join the network?
How to join
Membership is open to those working in health and social care at a senior level, who are committed to supporting and developing women leaders. To join the network, please email email@example.com.
Further information is available on the HSJ website. You can also join the twitter discussion using the hashtag #HSJwomenleaders.
