New apprenticeship standard - have your say

07 / 9 / 2015 10.18am

The Department for Business Innovation and Skills (BIS) are seeking your comments on new healthcare science apprenticeship standards, which are currently being developed across sectors.

BIS have worked with trailblazer employer groups to develop a draft apprenticeship standard for healthcare science assistants, which reflects more than 45 healthcare science specialisms. The standard is now ready for comment as part of BIS's revised approvals process.

The survey asks employers whether:

  • the standard fully covers the skills, knowledge and behaviours needed for full competence in the healthcare science assistant position
  • the length and skill mix of the standard is substantive enough.

Please note: The standard itself can be viewed as you begin the survey by selecting the ‘healthcare science assistant’ option. The closing date for submissions is Friday 11 September.

Access the survey here.
