The NHS flu fighter campaign is being rolled out to the residential care sector in England.
The aim of the new programme is to highlight the importance of protecting staff, and those receiving care and support, by improving staff uptake of the flu vaccination in care settings.
Jane Ellison, Minister for Public Health, and Alistair Burt, Minister for Community and Care, together with senior representatives from the residential care sector, attended a summit on 27 October to support the new direction of the campaign.
A range of new resources have been produced to help care settings implement their local campaigns. A new flu fighter residential care web section provides information and guides tailored for the care sector. In addition, a range of new digital resources are
available, including posters, web banners, email banners and a certificate for care settings to display their support.
