The Five Year Forward View a visual guide

23 / 10 / 2015 10am

On the first anniversary of the Five Year Forward View, we have produced a series of products to help staff at all levels understand what the the five-year vision really means for health and care.

Published by the national bodies in October 2014, the Forward View is a landmark document which articulates why change is needed, what change might look like and how it can be achieved.

While there is unanimous support among healthcare leaders for the plan, we know that awareness among staff below board level is low. In order for the vision to become a reality, we need to make sure all staff understand the role they can play in delivering this ambitious plan.

From vision to reality

We have produced a series of products for trusts to share with staff to encourage engagement and understanding. The resources include:
  • Web pages with an overview of the document
  • A visual guide
  • A presentation for trusts to adapt for use in their organisations
  • An overview of progress to date

We encourage NHS organisations to use and share these resources widely.

Access the summary and download the resources on our Five Year Forward View web pages.
