Start planning for Healthcare Science Week 2016

Students at science fair

19 / 11 / 2015 Midnight

Start planning now for Healthcare Science Week 2016 (11- 20 March).

The week is an opportunity for organisations to promote the wide range of healthcare science careers available, as well as the vital role healthcare scientists play in patient diagnosis and treatment.

How to get involved

You may want to start your local communications now and encourage your science workforce to think about what activities they would like to take part in. It is especially important to encourage science leads to book time in busy clinical diaries.

Have a look at what took place last year in our activity calendar and visit the Health Careers website for a helpful guide for trusts.

What can our organisation do?

During the week your organisation can do a range of things to help to promote the profession, entry routes and career pathways. Ideas include:

  • running a promotional stand in the hospital foyer
  • organising school/college visits
  • inviting school or college students to do work experience
  • displaying our healthcare science poster in busy areas to highlight the range of careers and interesting facts about the profession.
