The Department of Health (DH) has today published an update that captures the progress made in the wake of Kate Lampard’s Lessons learnt report.

In the interest of openness and transparency, the DH records central to the Stoke Mandeville investigation into Savile, have also been made available to the public.

The Department of Health is pleased with the progress made in response to the recommendations, but acknowledge there is still work to be done.

We would like to reassure employers that this does not make any amendments to previous advice and guidance already provided by NHS Employers as a result of the Savile investigations.

Read the original guidance published by NHS Employers in June.
