We have now published our 2016/17 written evidence to both the NHS Pay Review Body (NHSPRB) and the Doctors' and Dentists' Review Body (DDRB).
Both submissions are based on feedback collected from employers and an online survey.
- NHS Employers’ priority is to ensure reform of national pay and conditions
- evidence for both the NHSPRB and DDRB show that employers would favour the same percentage increase being applied to all staff within the one per cent cap
- NHSPRB evidence highlights further reform of the pay and conditions system is needed. This reform must ensure it continues to offer a fair and competitive employment package that allows for the recruitment and retention of the skilled and qualified staff needed, maximising their contribution and engagement
- DDRB evidence shows that the case for change remains compelling, and we recognise the importance attached to these essential reforms and getting the implementation of new contracts right. They will affect the medical profession as a whole and individual practitioners throughout their careers and we’ve taken on board the recommendations and observations the DDRB made last year.
