The government has committed to delivering employer-led apprenticeship reforms, and to continue improving the quality of apprenticeships to provide the skills employers need.
To help you keep up-to-date with changes to apprenticeship policy, we've created a handy new section of our website that brings together the latest news on apprenticeships and gives you information on what this means for you as an employer. In this section you can find out more about these topics:
- apprenticeship levy
- Enterprise Bill
- apprenticeship funding
- apprenticeship funding reform
- key messages about apprenticeship policy.
Take a look at the new apprenticeship policy updates webpages.
The NHS and apprenticeship
The NHS already employs and values significant numbers of apprentices and there are many examples of good practice across the sector. Following announcements in the 2015 Comprehensive Spending Review, significant reforms to how apprenticeships are delivered are planned for the future. Across our website we have a range of content to support employers with the delivery of apprenticeships, this includes a case study library where you can read about examples of best practice in the use of apprenticeships across the NHS.
New questions and answers section coming soon...
Early in 2016, we will be adding a questions and answers section to our website to help you navigate your way through the reforms. Whilst answers to all the questions currently being raised may not be immediately available, NHS Employers are working with the Department of Health, Health Education England and the Department for Business, Innovation and Skills to make sure that employers have access to information as soon as it becomes available.
