New guidance on disability discrimination

New guidance on disability discrimination has been published by the Advisory, Conciliation and Arbitration Service (ACAS).

In 2015, it was reported that 42 per cent of disabled people seeking work found the biggest barrier to getting hired were the misconceptions around what they could do. The guidance aims to address general misconceptions around disability discrimination. This is part of a series of work products being developed on equality and coincided with the UN day of persons with disabilities, which took place at the start of December.
