Health and wellbeing leads network meetings

11 / 12 / 2015 2.54pm

Last week we met in London and Leeds to find out what was happening across different NHS organisations in health and wellbeing. We looked at how to engage staff with an effective communications strategy, what is happening nationally with the NHS England work around a healthy NHS workforce, and what was happening in individual organisations.

We heard from six different trusts about what they are doing in certain areas, from creating a brand to a trust wide health needs assessment. The network also used to opportunity to share what worked well in their organisations, and what didn’t and some of the excellent free resources to use to help support the wellbeing of NHS staff.

Some of the key themes discussed were:
  • Working in partnership with communications teams
  • The importance of board engagement
  • Risk assessments for stress
  • Creating a business case
  • How to measure success of an intervention or campaign
To see more of what we discussed, read the slides.

Take away the top tips from our communications team on how to engage your staff and some free resources for you to use.

Our next health and wellbeing leads network meeting will be in the form of a webinar in March, the date of which is still to be confirmed.
