Discover the benefits of providing mentoring support for younger members of your workforce in a new case study from Leeds Teaching Hospitals Trust.
The trust has introduced two levels of mentors for their apprentices, and has already seen the following benefits:
- apprentices have more support and understanding of their role and how to succeed in it
- the scheme provides an opportunity for peer mentors to learn and develop themselves
- managers feel more supported.
The simple redesign of the job advert for apprentices has also seen an increase in the number and calibre of young people applying for the traineeship programme, and has reduced the recruitment process time for both candidates and staff.
