New NMC resources to support revalidation

Nurses going over notes

21 / 1 / 2016 11.04am

In the run up to the first round of revalidation taking place in April 2016 for nurses and midwives, the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) has added to its helpful suite of resources. As 16,000 staff prepare to renew their registration, you can help by ensuring they have the most up-to-date information and access to the available resources.

New resources

The NMC now has an easy to use, dedicated microsite where employers and staff can find out more information and revalidate via NMC online. The microsite includes:

  • case studies - five examples of nurses and midwives and their real-life experiences of revalidation
  • videos - providing an overview of revalidation, key requirements and benefits.
The NMC will also be very active over the forthcoming weeks on social media. Look out for #revalidation and encourage staff to get involved.
