The NHS Transformathon is a free, 24-hour, online, global broadcast. The event is led by Horizons, part of the Sustainable Improvement Team at NHS England and will take place on 27 and 28 January 2016.

It will bring together health and care staff and service users to connect, share and learn from each other and
showcase the latest innovations, practices and methodologies that will inspire you with ways to make change happen. As it’s a global event, you’ll be able to connect with world-leading change experts and people of different disciplines from across the globe, to share experiences of successes and lessons learnt.

The event is free and will be accessible anywhere via your mobile device or computer. It will be made up of 24 one hour sessions. Each session will bring together change leaders, health and care professionals and patients to discuss how they are making changes to improve their local health and care services, and the methods they are using to do this.

The programme

Hear how patient leadership, co-production, social media and human centred design are directly improving outcomes for patients. You will also be able to find out how crowd sourcing, making films and using social media are improving health and care services.

Running alongside the broadcast there will be a number of live hacks, working to address local issues and develop solutions, with the help of NHS Transformathon’s global audience.

This event is for everyone, so that together, through ideas, methods and actions, patient care can be improved.
