York Teaching Hospital NHS Foundation Trust recently commenced a programme of work to address the challenges of an ageing workforce. Dawn Preece, deputy head of human resources, updates us on what her organisation is doing.

In this blog, her second in a series for NHS Employers, Dawn tells us about the development of a data template to analyse the age profile of the workforce and talks about how she's been working with her trade union colleagues to produce simple and informative guidance for staff and managers on flexible retirement options.
