flu fighter residential care award

flu fighter residential care

03 / 2 / 2016 7am

This is the first year of the flu fighter residential care campaign, which aims to highlight the importance of protecting staff, and those receiving care and support, by improving staff uptake of the flu vaccination in care settings. As part of this work we have created a new flu fighters award category that is specifically for the residential care.

The flu fighter awards are the most prestigious flu fighter event of the year, and we're looking for entries from individuals, teams or organisations who have encouraged staff to have their flu jab.  A high flu vaccination uptake is not necessary and neither is having used the flu fighter materials.

The winning entry will:

  • show how you have encouraged staff to have their flu vaccination
  • show commitment and dedication to improving staff flu vaccination uptake
  • be a leading example of good practice.

Applying is really easy, applicants only need to choose the appropriate category on the nomination form and include the following information:

  • what has been achieved
  • how it was implemented
  • the impact it had on the campaign
  • how you they meet the criteria for the award

This is a chance to be recognised and attend a fantastic flu fighter awards ceremony on 22 March 2016. Any questions can be sent to flufighter@nhsemployers.org or you can speak to our friendly flu fighter team by calling 0844 334 5252.
