NHS Employers has today issued a new pay circular for Agenda for Change staff.
This pay and conditions circular informs employers of pay from 1 April 2016 to 31 March 2017 for staff whose contracts of employment incorporate nationally agreed pay provisions in the NHS terms and conditions of service handbook (Agenda for Change).
This follows the government's response to the NHS Pay Review Body (NHSPRB). The government has accepted the recommendation from the pay review body for a 1 per cent uplift in the value of each of the pay points on the pay spine and for an increase of one per cent in the value of the maximum and minimum values of High Cost Area (HCA) payments.
The uprated values of the pay points, new maximum and minimum values of HCAs and the details of amendment number 36 to the NHS terms and conditions service of handbook, are set out in the circular.
