Pause in the implementation of junior doctors' contract

09 / 5 / 2016 11.23am

NHS organisations in England are to temporarily cease any activities on the implementation of the new junior doctors' contract.

This five day pause will allow the Department of Health and NHS Employers to return to negotiations with the BMA Junior Doctors' Committee (JDC). Read the letter from NHS Improvement to NHS organisations asking them to cease any implementation activities.

We will provide further updates following the completion of this negotiation period.
