Support Mental Health Awareness Week 2016

Mental health awareness week

19 / 5 / 2016 Midnight

Mental Health Awareness Week is taking place between 16 - 22 May. To support the national awareness week, NHS Employers is publishing a two-part podcast and encouraging trusts to join in and help raise awareness of mental health.

The two-part podcast is about the 'How Are You Feeling NHS?' emotional wellbeing toolkit and how Blackpool Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is using the toolkit. The first part of the podcast features a ward manager on the stroke unit where the toolkit was piloted. She tells us how the toolkit supports NHS organisations to talk about emotional wellbeing and the impact it has on staff. In part two of the podcast, the head of workforce health and wellbeing at the hospital explains how the toolkit helped implement good health and wellbeing practice across the organisation.

Find out more information on mental health in the workplace or about our How are feeling NHS? toolkit.

Support Mental Health Awareness Week

The theme for this year's campaign is relationships, as the Mental Health Foundationbelieves there is a greater need for the focus on quality relationships. You can get involved and make a relationship resolution to invest more time in being present with and listening to friends, family and colleagues.

Join the relationship resolution conversation on Twitter #RelationshipsResolution or link up with the whole campaign and use #MHAW16.
