We have produced a factsheet to help employers understand how the arrangements for paying and accessing funds under the apprenticeships levy will work when it is introduced in April 2017.
Following the release of information from the Department for Business, Innovation and Skills (BIS) the factsheet sets out the key information in an easy to read format, and answers questions previously raised by employers. The factsheet covers:
- what will be counted in the pay bill
- how the levy will be paid
- the allowances available to all employers.
- how the funds can be used to pay for apprenticeship training and assessments.
Download the factsheet.
Information on the GOV.UK website, Apprenticeship levy: how it will work, provides more in-depth details for employers and sets out when further guidance will follow.
