Leeds Pride 2017

Pride 2017 trio

On Sunday 6 August NHS Employers and colleagues from across the NHS celebrated 11 years of Leeds Pride, showing our support for the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender community.

Founded in 2006, the parade is one of the most joyful and vibrant celebrations in the Leeds calendar with 60 floats, five hours of entertainment and over 40,000 people in attendance.

Joining us on our colourfully decorated open top bus were NHS England, Health Education England, Leeds Community Healthcare NHS Trust, Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, Yorkshire Ambulance Service as well as NHS Digital who joined the walking parade to show their support.

Take a look at our Twitter moment including our videos that capture Pride in 3 words and the 10 things we loved about Leeds Pride. You can also view our pictures from the day, and if you have yet to upload your images to social media, make sure you use the two hashtags #leedspride and #proudin theNHS.
