"High maintenance". "Hormonal". "Diva".

Just some of the everyday words that can be used to negatively describe women leaders in the workplace. Which ones would you banish?

We’re holding a tweet chat in partnership with the Medical Women’s Federation to discuss sexist semantics on Wednesday 9 August, 8pm-9pm.

Share your experiences, advice and anecdotes in 140 characters, and explore how we can move away from gender stereotyping and towards gender neutral.

Joining us to discuss the impact of language and how it can affect relationships, dynamics and a woman’s career opportunities will be:

  • Dr Olwen Williams, Vice-President of the Medical Women’s Federation @olwenolwen
  • Helen Bevan, Chief Transformation Officer, NHS England @helenbevan
  • The Man Who Has it All, Author @manwhohasitall
  • Claire Read, Freelance Healthcare Journalist and editor @readthewriter

Follow the live online discussion by using #NHSwomen and by tweeting to @hsjwomenleaders
