Introducing our new women leaders network chair

Sam Allen

The Health and Care Women Leaders Network enters a new year, with a new chair, with the appointment of Samantha Allen, chief executive of Sussex Partnership Foundation Trust.

Taking over from the current chair, Sarah Walter, who began a period of maternity leave at the end of 2017, Sam was an obvious choice having been a friend and active supporter of the network for some time.

Speaking about her new role, Sam said: “It was an honour to be asked to chair the network for a year.

“I’m really mindful of commitments and my first is to the communities I serve in my CEO role and my staff, but this is an area that is close to my heart, and it’s so very important to support and nurture inclusive leadership. I’m looking forward to leading the network in 2018, and working collectively with members to empower and support women working across health and care.”
