As part of the development of the Workforce Disability Equality Standard (WDES) we have produced an online survey to gather views about the proposed WDES metrics and the wording of the disability questions in the NHS staff survey.
The WDES sets out a series of metrics which require NHS organisations to report annually on disability equality and to produce an action plan to address differences between disabled and non-disabled staff.
The analysis of the survey results will help inform the finalisation of the WDES metrics which are due to be published in Autumn 2018.
Who should complete this survey?
The survey is aimed at those who attended one of NHS England’s regional events which took place in March 2018, and those interested in the WDES who were unable to attend. Feedback is particularly welcome from those with a lead responsibility for workforce disability equality including: HR, organisational development or workforce leads; board members, non-executive directors, members of disabled staff networks and equality networks; members of disabled trade union networks; and equality and diversity leads.
