![]() The independent health pay review bodies (the NHS pay review body and the doctors' and dentists' review body) make recommendations to Government on pay awards for doctors, dentists, nurses, health professionals and other NHS staff. A separate review body (the Senior Salaries Review Body) will be making recommendations on the pay of very senior (board level) managers working for SHAs, PCTs and Ambulance Trusts for the first time this year. Final decisions on pay awards are made by Government. NHS Employers submits evidence to the review bodies, based mainly on information collected from employers by questionnaire. These pages include details of NHS Employers' evidence to the review bodies for the current pay round (2008/09), plus details of previous pay rounds including our evidence, the recommendations of the review bodies, and the final pay awards.
