The three-month consultation on the joint proposals to manage staff sickness and ill health retirement in the NHS has now closed.
The review partners will meet soon to develop recommendations for ministers based on the responses. A final agreement will then be announced, allowing any changes to be implemented from 1 April 2008 in line with the changes to the main NHS Pension Scheme.
